fun fact, the t42 does have a can resistor, just not on its 2 sets of CAN bus pins. It exists on pins 15 and 19 and on applications it was used, there were jumper wires in the harness to the main bus pins.

Id love to learn how to implement software to hardware like this. I have some hardware I want to hack with jtag to clone a chip for an attempt to repair it. I have to replace a BGA chip but want to pull the data off before replacement since part of the chip has failed. I got a datasheet of the BGA but unsure what software to use to get the data off the chip properly.

I would love to learn this.

How about using the 18650 battery as the power source instead for the TTL? Straight forward with direct Power Supply.

Where do you get the SlaveOS and SystemCal files (bins)? I am trying to clone an E38 ECU. I saved an AllFlash and SystemOS bin from original ECU.

Mine when I read it is blank, on both cflash and dflash. tried connecting the vcc to pin1 or connecting to table. Is it right to write other dflash or cflash from other camera some model?

Sweet! I find it helpful to use something like vs code to search and remove repeated messages, I continue till all I have are unique messages that makes it easier to decode it. Then sort by module address. If we can create a parser to do that it would be very help for both j1850 vpw and iso-can.

This u-Link NT programmer is really easy to use. But I having trouble with flashing SPI NAND flash using RT809H programmer. When reading a MX35LF2G14AC NAND flash, many bytes are inconsistence and in writing mode as well. Do you have any suggestion to overcome with that saturation? Thank in advanced.

Hello, please excuse my ignorance because maybe my question is implied but, is this process of programming the same for cloning? As in can I grab the flash from a faulty ecu and program(flash) it to a good one using this method?

Hello. I watched your clip and it is very useful, very explicit. I have a volvo s80 from 1999 and on board I have a lot of errors caused by this CEM. I bought another CEM, which I want to clone with the information from my CEM. Please tell me, if I follow your instructions and copy the information from one CEM to the other CEM, is it enough to make it functional or do I have to also copy the information from the 28f400 flash memory? I saw in the video that you only copied the information from MC68376. Thank you .

FYI you can remove the chip with a heatgun and desolder paste no problem. Just have a good heatgun with a flat funnel attachment so use a bigger round and reshape it to a flat with funnel and you can desolder quickly each side without any problem no matter the space situation.
